LACTAID®

COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING

STUFF FOR RUMEN HEALTH

Live yeasts are considered the First Generation of products but these are now less extensively used in the more advanced markets of the USA and Asia.

Stabilised yeasts now dominate these markets thanks to their consistent levels of performance.

Lactaid® is the UK’s next generation stabilised yeast. It has been developed to consistently support the farmer to help maintain daily live-weight gain in beef cattle and help maintain milk production in dairy cows.

How can Lactaid® help?

Lactaid® provides B vitamins, minerals, organic acids, enzymes, amino acids and peptides which directly feed the rumen bacteria. These are known as metabolites and are responsible for rapidly increasing rumen bacteria number and efficacy.

Unlike Live yeasts, stabilised yeasts undergo fermentation under controlled conditions leading to increased quantity, quality and efficacy of metabolites.

Improved feed conversion often results in herd health maintenance and productivity.

Administration

Lactaid® should be added directly to the ration, ideally in a feeder wagon, at a rate of 50gms per cow per day. This should increase to 60 gms for cows milking above 10,000 litres.

Precautions

Avoid storage below 5ºC

Keep out of the reach of children.
